Mega-Rick. electronic cholesterol music.

Today I decided to publish some songs that haven’t experienced any progress for a while now. Most of them can be regarded as finished but not mastered yet. I also might delete some songs from the final track list – I’m sure I will – and add some new ones as well. Same holds for every aspect of this “album” actually. Especially the artwork isn’t done at all. As for the cover: Nope. It’s crap, I know, but I just like to have my music posts accompanied by a picture, that’s it.

Furthermore, as you will see, there are several ‘Tokyo Racecar’ Songs again. Not the same as the one on the Trobador album, but it started as a remix and developed to something totally new, I just kept the (misspelled) name.

The third Untitle and I’m a bit indifferent about it. It doesn’t catch the feeling of the former two but matches all the criteria of an Untitle: 1. Fast done 2. I don’t wanna work on it anymore 3. It isn’t bad enough to delete it.

Actually my opinion about this track is that some of the Intrsuments aren’t well chosen and there’s no  development in suspense that catches me. It isn’t a good song at all. It lacks the musical music if you know what I mean. But if I tweak it a bit and find some matching counterpart it probably might be a decent song.

See, I shouldn’t be too strict on the second criteria for Untitles. But still: I don’t know what happens to this tune in the future…

Here is my second approach for the Untitles concept. Again, done very fast. This time it came out of my mind while I was thinking about blogging something about the end of the world 2012 but had no idea what to write, instead I just jammed and played around a bit. Again I’d say it is less a song than more a draft or idea and I don’t want to work on it anymore, but instead of tagging it “deleted”  I thought it would work as an Untitle. So here it is:

Do you think one can find any consistency between those two Untitles so far? Is there a reason why I do not think as a song about them?

First song this year is more or less a skit/draft/whateveryouwantittobe …and different. I’d say it’s more utz utz utz and more experimental at the same time. Hard to say, nothing I’ll follow in the future I guess, but who can say what will be in the future?

Well, I made it pretty quickly during a night session in less than 20 minutes. So probably that’s the reasons why it still sounds quite rough or unfinished. It’s interesting, though. Maybe I should try more of this stuff…we’ll see. At least I like the concept of making and releasing music fast – almost in no time at all.

I actually like the concept of those “untitleds” so much that I decided to introduce a new subcategory just while I was writing those lines. I’ll call it: Untitles. Those songs are Untitles. Yeah. Like it.

Hi everyone!

I made a few new songs the last days. Very quickly, just to get my head free and to get me in some pre-Christmas mood since I was quite busy the last time. While suitable as an alternative to the songs they play on the radio these days (my opinion) I wanted them to keep up a more or less traditional X-mas song feeling. Have fun and enjoy the christmas days and this album (or ep, or wathever)!

The joy of using a computer originates in my opinion from giving its operator the ability to create virtual items and even worlds out of the apparent nothingness.

What do you thing?

Bear those items/worlds any value? Should they be considered as property in a legal sense? What about reality then? Acquires someone a right of intellectual property by  creating an empty txt-file? Who – the user or the coder of the software that created that file? Does this influence cybercrime and how should legislation react upon this in your opinion?

I’m curious about any comments and thoughts from you, and won’t comment myself for a start…poems wouldn’t go amiss, too.

Edit 2010-01-02: Someone wrote me an email saying the songtitles are wrong – No they’re not, they’re intended to be exactly the way they are.

Waaah! Another really old classic. Once again taken from the “T.” album and one of the first songs I’ve ever made. Listen to the dusty fusty sound of “T.R.”

Ever since I hear this song the pictures I had in my mind when I made it are poping up in my head. I think it is hard to understand for someone who never experienced those pics. Perhaps I make a remix of this song sometime to make it clearer and catchier for the listener.

Because of a lack of solitude in my life right now, here is a song that provides me some loneliness, when I need it so badly. And it’s short like a deep-drawn sigh. So when you’re finished with suspiring, the song ends and life goes on! So I’d say it’s kinda convenient, a sort of useful song. And it’s got hope in it! Hey, what more could you expect from a song?
